Holiyay is a Québec-based puzzle company founded by Hélène Mallette and Mathieu Lachapelle, the creative duo behind the award-winning lifestyle magazine Dinette Magazine.

Born from a deep love of design, storytelling, and slow moments, Holiyay started with a simple idea:

what if puzzles felt as good as they looked?

For Hélène, puzzles have always been a quiet ritual — a way to slow down, reset, and find focus in the middle of everyday chaos. But finding puzzles that combined beautiful design with high-quality craftsmanship wasn’t always easy.

So we decided to create our own.

At Holiyay, every puzzle is built with intention — from the artists we collaborate with, to the materials we select, to the overall experience of assembling each piece. We think of our puzzles as small, collectible objects designed to be both satisfying to build and beautiful to look at.

More than just a pastime, we see puzzling as a way to disconnect, refocus, and reconnect — with yourself, or with the people around you.

We produce our designs in small quantities, which means most puzzles are not restocked once they sell out.

Each puzzle is designed a bit like a special edition, making it even more unique.

That said, some designs become classics and may come back in stock — sometimes for a short time, sometimes for longer.

We’re also constantly working on new designs that will be released soon, so there’s always something new on the way 👀

The illustrations are created by artists we carefully select and compensate for their work.

Our 500- and 1,000-piece puzzles are currently manufactured in China, simply because there is no factory in Canada able to offer this level of quality at this format.

Yes. All of our designs include an 8 × 11 inch poster, perfect as a reference while assembling the puzzle.

We ship to Canada, the United States, and Europe.

International shipping rates may apply for orders shipped outside of Canada.

Canada: typically 2 to 5 business days
United States: 10 to 15 business days
International: varies depending on the destination

Shipping costs vary depending on the destination.

In Canada, they generally range between $7 and $15.

For certain regions, such as the United States and Europe, shipping may be more expensive due to international transportation costs.

Even though every puzzle is carefully inspected, a piece can occasionally go missing.

Orders within Canada are usually delivered within 3 to 5 business days.

Our puzzles are primarily designed for an adult audience.

That said, some children may still enjoy them, especially if they are accompanied or already comfortable with puzzles.

We generally recommend our puzzles for ages 12 and up.
