Hey there! We're Hélène Mallette and Mathieu Lachapelle, the dynamic duo behind Holiyay Puzzles. Let's take you on the journey of our puzzle adventure. First, you should know that we are magazine enthusiasts. 8 years ago, we founded our very own independent lifestyle paper magazine called Dinette which brought us many awards in different categories ranging from storytelling  to art direction and photography. But our love for design and a good puzzle have brought us to this new exciting venture we like to call Holiyay.

The Spark of an Idea

Since forever, I, Hélène, puzzle lover and co-founder of Holiyay Puzzles, have treasured memories of puzzling with my grandma. Puzzles, you see, are my zen zone, a secret weapon against modern chaos – the relentless hustle, the digital tornado. Amidst the whirlwind, my nightly puzzle retreats turned into a sanity-saving, inspiration-igniting oasis. They hushed my anxious thoughts, helping me keep my mind sharp and ready for any challenge! 🧩✨

But the puzzles out there were either kind of stuck in the past or the quality didn't always measure up. Finding both in one package often felt like chasing a unicorn. I craved that perfect combo of artistry and craftsmanship! That's where Mathieu, my partner in everything, swooped in like a puzzle-solving superhero! Together, we dove headfirst into the wild world of Holiyay Puzzles fully confident in our knack to create our own. We've tackled more puzzles than we can count, embracing and sifting through every style under the sun. We've done some serious detective work to handpick our favorite features. We even set up a puzzle-making machine in our garage, which, let's be real, turned out to be more hilarious than productive! This journey has turned us into puzzle aficionados with a laser focus on the nitty-gritty details - from hand-picking primo cardboard to shaping each puzzle piece, all while teaming up with amazing artists worldwide. Mathieu and I are like the peanut butter and jelly of dynamic duos, and now we're ready to kick that puzzle passion of ours into overdrive!
